| Projects: |
Books: I have reformatted and updated a 450 page hard cover textbook following it through multiple revisions and 3 editions working with the writers and finding appropriate images and other relevant content to add to the pages. I have had a hard cover book of quilts printed in which I photographed well over 100 quilts, color corrected and adjusted them for the book, and worked on all of the layout and content from beginning to end. I have collaborated with another client to produce a 10 book series from scratch both designing, adding images and finding addtional content to add. I have also created a few workbooks and soft cover manuals from design to finish.
Print materials: I have designed a couple of VHS and DVD cases for a video series on embossing produced by one of my clients. I have also provided a variety of brochues and ads for as well as marketing pieces and collateral for a few local businesses. You name it, i've probably worked with it.
Video: Working mostly in Premiere and Final Cut I have prouced a few amature commercials advertising upcoming company conventions. I have also created three or four 15 to 20 minute informational videos showcasing business growth or other current events for an employer. One of those included a tribute to fallen comrads during the World Trade Tower disasters. Another showcased the history of emergency dispatching. These videos generally included some flash animation, and custom audio which I created in addition to the video editing. I was also in charge of shooting much of the video that was used in the production.
Multimedia: I have been blessed with a few very good projects in this category. I have created demo marketing cd's for two software products and a training series done in both Director and Flash. Additionally I helped with the creation of a training series, building the interface, and collecting images for the production. I have also done some touch screen applications in Flash for the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, and a pharmaceutical conference back in New York. These interactive programs were built to show conference classes and schedules, a list of speakers and their topics, and a map highlighting classroom locations. I have also worked on mulitple slide show presentations, powerpoint applications, and flash animation gateways.
Web: The web is an ever changing medium and it is truly a challenge to keep up with the new technology. Most of my clients have "brochure" websites, but I have also worked with shopping carts, java script controls, php/mySQL databases for news areas, a newsletter article search, photo galleries and shopping areas. I also built a "tree finder" application where you enter your search criteria and the site recommends a tree. I'm in the process of learning the ins and outs of CSS and have already completed 2 websites with the new coding.
